Our neighbour, Giorgos Gioumpakis, has been running two 5-star diving centres in Crete since 1993. Giorgos has been at home in Crete’s underwater world for over 34 years.
As a certified IDC Staff Instructor and Speciality Course Instructor, with over 5,000 dives under his belt worldwide, Giorgos offers his diving guests not only high-quality training and safe diving. As a native of Crete, he is also intimately familiar with the island’s best dive sites.
The Atlantis team offers PADI-standard diving training for beginners, as well as advanced training and diving excursions for experienced divers. There is no mass diving tourism here; instead, safe diving in small groups with personalised attention is the top priority at the Atlantis Diving Centre.
Diving takes place along the north and south coasts.
Visibility is up to 40 m. Diving depths range from 10 m to 35 m. The water temperature ranges from 16° to 26°, depending on the season.
